Station 62 (Atherton)

Station 2Station 62, located at 450 Atherton Avenue, is home to three firefighting personnel. Its primary response zone is east of Highway 101 and north of Highway 37; personnel often respond to freeway vehicle accidents, as well as numerous fire and medical calls.

Station 62 serves as the training facility for the District, with a training tower, classroom, ventilation prop, Urban Search and Rescue training grounds, and a large field used for wildland fire training. Station 62 also serves as the base of the Mechanics’ operations

Station 62 also houses the State of CA Type 1 Engine that can be deployed to any location in the state to render aid. .

  • One Captain, one Engineer and one Firefighter/Paramedic staff the Paramedic Engine Company;
  • One Firefighter/Paramedic and the Captain cross staff the Advanced Life Support Paramedic Ambulance. This Paramedic Ambulance is pressed into service when Medic 61 and 65 are committed to calls
