Station 2Station 2, located at 450 Atherton Avenue, is home to three firefighting personnel. Its primary response zone is east of Highway 101 and north of Highway 37; personnel often respond to freeway vehicle accidents, as well as numerous fire and medical calls.

Station 2 serves as the training facility for the District, with a training tower, classroom, ventilation prop, Urban Search and Rescue training grounds, and a large field used for wildland fire training. Station 2 also serves as the base of the Mechanics’ operations, houses the Rescue Boat, a reserve Type 1 engine, the Utility Van and the mechanics’ pickup.

  • One Captain, one Engineer and one Firefighter/Paramedic staff the Paramedic Engine Company;
  • One Firefighter/Paramedic and the Captain cross staff the Advanced Life Support Paramedic Ambulance. This Paramedic Ambulance is pressed into service when Medic 61 and 64 are committed to calls
