The Board of Directors annually sets the fire tax rate prior to adopting a final budget. The 2014/15 tax rate has been established at 8.16 cents per square foot for residential properties and 12.23 cents per square foot for commercial/industrial properties. The District has received a clean opinion from the independent auditor on the District’s 2014/15 audited financial statements. A copy of the complete audited financial statements is included in the 2015 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report .

The District has also received an award for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2015 by the Government Finance Officers Association. This recognition is for CAFRs that achieve the highest standards in government accounting and financial reporting. The District’s CAFR for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2015 is available (see link above or below).
