The Fire Code Official is authorized to enforce provisions of adopted fire and building codes; to receive applications, review construction documents, and issue permit for construction regulated by these codes. In addition, the Fire Code Official issues permits for operations regulated by these codes, inspects premises for which permits have been issued, and inforces compliance with the provisions of these codes and standards.

The Fire Code Official is also authorized to enter and examine any building, structure, marine vessel, vehicle, or premise  for the purpose of enforcing the fire code.

To schedule a compliance or construction inspection, please call our Adminstrative Office at 415-878-2690, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.  Inspections require a minumum of 48 hours notice for scheduling purposes.
